Karolina Pliskova registered a come from behind 2-6, 6-3 and 6-1 win over France’s Tessah Andrianjafitrimo to march ahead into the second round of women’s singles in the French Open 2022 on Tuesday. Pliskova was broken early in the second set but she held her nerves and hit top gear. A good early test for the former semi-finalist.
Also, American Danielle Collins secured a straight-set win over Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova to move into the second round of Roland-Garros in Paris. Collins, needed one hour and 12 minutes to score the 6-0, 6-4 win and move into the second round of the French Open for the fourth year in a row.
