Shikhar Dhawan may be one of the biggest cricket superstars in India but when he returns home without meeting his father’s expectations, he is much like every other Indian kid. In a light-hearted video shared by the Indian cricketer, he was seen getting thrashed by his father who aced the acting game better than his son.
In the video that is being widely shared on social media, Shikhar Dhawan’s father can be seen seemingly angry at the India cricketer for not making the playoffs of Indian Premier League 2022. There was a decent supporting cast too that was trying to stop Dhawan’s father from hitting the PBKS opener.
Dhawan took to social media to share the funny clip. “Knock out by my dad for not qualifying for knockouts,” the PBKS opener said.
Former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh responded to the video, praising Dhawan’s father’s acting skills.
“Bappu tere se bi upar ka actor nikle.. kya baat hai,” Harbhajan said.
Shikhar Dhawan was in good form for Punjab Kings after being bought by the former finalists following 2 successful seasons with Delhi Capitals. Dhawan scored 460 runs, including 3 fifties, in 14 matches.
However, PBKS were not able qualify for the playoffs, finishing with 14 points in the 6th spot, 2 points behind 4th-placed Royal Challengers Bangalore who qualified for the playoffs.
